The ride to Yilan was so nice that it had to be done again, so there I went! 40 km to Xindian and then Beiyi road.
I was cycling alone, I knew the road and my condition was a lot better. This resulted in my progress being very good. I arrived there at 16.00 already.
I cycled with Tars to the Toucheng station and we went to Yilan
Traveling with bike
We had a nice evening in Yilan, Linda joined and we went to the night market. Only downside is the latest train did not let me take the bike back, so I had to cycle to 20 km back to Wai'ao
The next day I wanted to go cycle. I headed out in the direction of Luodong, but heavy rain made me cancel that trip. Instead I went to Yilan's museum
The plains of Yilan county
The origins of Yilan.
I spent 2.5 hours inside, checking out lots of stuff related to Taiwanese history
Atayal tribe, which I also saw in Wulai
Some more museum pics
Guishan in Yilan
A little more on Guishan
After my museum visit, the weather got a little better, so I still went for a little bike trip
I cycled in the direction of Gengfeng
With a long beard, all for Movember.
Guishan island, the real thing
I started exploring this area. At the time, it was already cool for me to explore outside of Taipei
Mysterious Taiwan
Some small attractions
Buddhist temple
Quite a deserted place here
The feeling of mystery was omnipresent
I went further inside to see what was going on
Pretty hilly here
Crab museum, not crap museu
It was closed this day
Later I cycled back to Wai;ao and called Tars, but he did not answer
So I sad outside here and waited... I even fell asleep for a while

Later that night I went to Jiaoxi with Tars and Nick, where we had Japanese food
